Bedside Integrated Observership Program

All of our slots for 2024 are currently filled.  We will open registration for 2025 in August.  ONLY applications submitted through the BIO Program website will be considered.

Brief Description

The Institute for Bedside Medicine at Saint Peter’s University Hospital (SPUH) is pleased to offer ‘Bedside Integrated Observership’ program to our graduate colleagues from different parts of the world. This program is aimed to help international medical graduates gain an insight into the US healthcare system by allowing them close patient observation and team interaction.

Not only will the observers get the opportunity to see direct patient care but will also attend program didactics and interact with SPUH residents, fellows and faculty.

Our first batch was started in July 2018. We are certain this experience will be unique, educative and one of a kind.

* Please note state law prevent observers from having any direct patient communication.
* Please note we are not associated with any 3rd party organizations offering clinical clerkships/observership programs. The BIO program is ONLY offered by SPUH directly.
