Haris Rana, MD
Associate Program Director, Pulmonology Fellowship, Saint Peter’s University Hospital
Dr. Rana completed his Internal Medicine training and chief residency in the Atlantic Health System in New Jersey. He completed his Pulmonary and Critical Care training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, where he also served as a chief fellow. He has board certifications in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine. In addition to being part of the Saint Peter's University Hospital Internal Medicine Medical Teaching Service (MTS), Dr. Rana functions as chair of the Internal Medicine Residency Clinical Competency Committee. His administrative responsibilities include serving as chair of the Sepsis Committee. He has also operated as an associate program director in Internal Medicine. Dr. Rana is passionate about patient care and medical education. He works closely with residents offering mentorship at a one-to-one level. Dr. Rana oversees resident participation in administrative and education committees as well as in quality improvement projects. He is heavily involved in providing simulation training for residents, medical students, and hospital personnel.
